This is a beautiful picture and such an awesome place. One place that everyone should visit at least once in their life. Right now the water falls are the best they have been in 20 years.
There is a lot more to do here than just camp. You can rent a raft down the Merced River Beaches to the Sentinel Beaches. This is a 3 mile ride and is very cool.
The views in and around Yosemite are worth the drive. The last time I was there was about 5 years ago and plan to go back very soon.
