Jason Comes Out

Today in my eyes is awesome news for the world of sports. First off let me just say this: I am NOT gay but at the same time I am NOT racist towards it. Being the first player in any sports that has come out and said he was GAY I am sure took a lot of nerve yet Jason Collins has done just that. Must of been hard to hold it in for so long, especially with being in a locker room full of men all the time.  He is a proud man and will now be in the open standing for what he believes in. Why should it matter what profession you are in or what color your skin is? Jason had is reasons for coming out and here is part of an interview with him that will come out in the May 6th Sports Illustrated Edition.

"Why am I coming out now? Well, I started thinking about this in 2011 during the NBA player lockout. I'm a creature of routine. When the regular season ends I immediately dedicate myself to getting game ready for the opener of the next campaign in the fall. But the lockout wreaked havoc on my habits and forced me to confront who I really am and what I really want. With the season delayed, I trained and worked out. But I lacked the distraction that basketball had always provided."

Kudos to you Jason, you're an awesome man. Don't worry about the "haters" they are going to "Hate" regardless of what ya say or do. Because of you Jason now maybe more athletes will feel more comfortable in their own skin to be to come out openly and not feel of be ashamed.

Kobe After Surgery

On Friday night while playing against the Warriors, Kobe Bryant suffered a season ending injury and boy was he pissed off. I suppose he had every right to be, the Lakers have had a tough year this year with just about everyone on their roster having some kind of injury. I am not a Laker fan but I wouldn't wish this kind of injury on my worst enemy. The "Black Mamba" will make a full recovery and be back next year I am sure.  He put these pictures up on his Instagram after ranting for awhile on Facebook.
This was "suppose" to be the year Kobe would get his 6th ring with the additions of Steve Nash and Dwight Howard. I barely see them making the playoffs now and even if they do, they won't go far. I am also sure this will impact what happens with some of the players next year. There are already a ton of rumors going around that Dwight is going to leave LA. If that is the case, Dwight don't let the door hit on the way out. The sad part is this: The Lakers have some serious talent on this team but no chemistry at all. Remember it takes a team on the "same page" and with a "click" that brings championships. You don't have to always have the best players in the league all on one team. And the world already knows its Hard for Kobe to get along with anyone, an example is the days when Shaq was in L A.

Save It Magic

Ya might have heard about it yet or not but Magic Johnson is offering Lebron James 1 million dollars to enter and win the "Slam Dunk" contest next year. Just about every year he has teased the fans that he may join to only reject the idea at almost the last minute. He is way to arrogant and selfish of a person/player to ever enter something of that caliber. Give to the fans, Lebron, he won't do it. The fans are beneath him, he has proven that many times.
The Slam Dunk contest in the last few years has become very stale and boring. Same thing being done year after year by different guys, with not one of them really standing out. Come to think of it, since Jordan stopped entering the contest it has not been much of a show. As a matter of fact the whole All star weekend has become pretty much a bore. Would Lebron win if he entered? More than likely he would and it would NOT necessarily be that he brought some new dunks it would be mainly because well he is Lebron James.
Magic man save your money, I know that your rich but when your high (way over priced) Dodgers bust this year you are going to need all the money ya got left.

The New Lebron Sneakers

 Look I am an avid sneaker lover, I have a lot of shoes especially some "rare" Jordans. Mine are not all the retro ones you see out now I have the originals, but this is just crazy. Here is the deal in a nut shell. Nike has been losing money (go figure that one) so they decided to set the price for these new Lebrons at $315.00, yes you fucking read that right. Its pretty fucking lame that they raise the price of all their shoes because they are losing money. If they kept them cheaper they would sell a ton more, therefore make more money. "The big thing about these shoes other than the fact they are ugly as fuck is they have some gadget in them to tell you how high you jump. If you can slam a basketball who in the fuck cares how high you can jump?" The sad part is these shoes will sell out quick and people will sell them for 3 times the amount on Ebay or Craigslist. The really sad part is: the young kids that are huge fans of Lebron won't get these because the parents will NEVER be able to afford them.

Lamar Gone

Lamar finally quit the Dallas Mavericks today. A team he was traded to but never wanted to really play for. He never even made the slightest contribution to the team. Simply put he fucking sucked the whole time he was there and or played. Sure he was better in LA but that is because he felt at home there. Some are saying he left his heart and head in LA, he should of left his nasty ass wife in LA also. Maybe next year he will get his shit together and actually play some ball. Who knows, I do know this though, he better pull his head out of his ass because the Lakers will NEVER take him back.

Kobe Fucking Mad

So with all the trades being done in Basketball as of late, and the ones Stern is rejecting, things are heating up around the league. Recently Lamar Odom was traded to the Dallas Mavericks which is not really all that bad of a trade. Maybe just maybe Mark Cuban will calm down Lamar's nasty ass wife for once. Anyways after the trade we find out that Mr. Kobe is fucking pissed. Personally I can't stand Kobe or the Lakers so I don't give a flying fuck. Hey Kobe be pissed about the recession or about how the president that YOU voted for is ruining this country. Oh wait your rich I forgot you don't give a rats ass. Hopefully next they will trade Paul Gasol than you can seriously be pissed. The Lakers need to rebuild because YOUR sorry ass can't play forever.
